Riley Birthday
So I needed a cutesie kids birthday card and today's challenge over at splitcoast was to make a birthday card... I am feeling a little under the weather today so
I know this isn't by best work by any means, but I wanted to stamp a little bit anyway... So this is a pretty simple card... I colored a few different images yesterday with my copic markers and this cute little Balloon Riley was one of them... I cute him out with the rectangle spellbinders die and mounted him onto a scallop rectangle. I then cut my layers to size and ran the white through the big shot with the birthday embossing folder. I added a few stickles to some areas for detail and layered my card.. I added a sentiment and ribbon to the main images... Really simple... please let me know what you think. Your comments are always welcomed... Thanks for stopping by..
Happy Stamping!!!

Many Smiles
Boy could my family use some "smiles" these days... Things in my house are very tight and rough these days... Wishing something good can come soon... There is one thing that I have been working towards for a little while now that I really want and am still holding onto the hope that I get it... I have also recently gone back to work after being out for 4 months due to a major knee surgery and I am wondering if I went back too soon because I am having a rough time with it...
And hubby is still looking for a job... He does seem to have a really good prospect and they told him they planned to hire him but need to get the funding approved from corporate first... They said it could be this week or several months from now... (Like we can sit around and wait!) So like I said, we need a few smiles this way too... This is my "smile" card for today's challenge.. I could use a smile card myself so this was a perfect challenge for me today. I had the idea to use this stamp set last night, but hadn't seen it in quite some time so I thought I got rid of it. Well... I got up this morning and started rumbling through my "stored" stamp sets and viola... There it was right on top. So glad I kept this one as it was perfect for today's challenge... It is so fun pulling out older sets to play with. They remind me why I bought them in the first place... This was a super simple card to put together... I had this DSP sitting around and thought it was cute so I pulled it out.. Then I stamped my image and punched it out with the 1 3/8" circle punch and then the scallop punch. I stamped my main panel with the same smiley faces as my main image and then my sentiment. I added some ribbon and some cute little Candi to the cheeks and viola... my card... I hope you like what I did here today with this cute but old set...

Pink Rose
This is my card for today's sketch challenge... Number 400... WOW!!! Who would have thought there would be so many ways to put a card together... :) I chose to go back to SC224 for this one... I started out by coloring my image and then I added some detail with dazzling diamonds glitter. I cut out image and layered on the spellbinders rectangle die... I made my hat pins and attached them to my ribbon. I stamped my sentiment, cut it out with the modern label punch and added some dazzling diamonds to the word "heart". This was a pretty simple card to put together.. I am not sure how I really feel about it. I hope you will enjoy it.

Certainly Daffodils
I had time to make ano I stamped and colored my image with copic markers and then cut it out. I layered it on a whisper white circle and picot circle from spellbinders. I added some ribbon that I dyed and my sentiment. This was a super simple card to make and the only time consuming part was the coloring. I could have stopped sooner, but I really enjoyed adding the extra detail colors... I love coloring with copic markers.. I guess I need to buy the rest of the colors... ;)
Happy Stamping!!!
Rich Daffodils
This is my take on today's color challenge... I originally did this with a lot of Rich Razzleberry color because I absolutely love that color, but then I decided to tone it back and go with the yellow and green to challenge myself.. I always have a hard time using any yellow so I am working on changing that... The centers of the flowers are glittered with a mixture I made of red and purple glitter that matches Rich Razzleberry... Took a little time to get the color but now I have a batch of it for future use... :)I started with my A2 size card and added a DSP layer... I stamped and colored my new image with the copic markers. I then used quickie glue and added a small amount of glitter to my flower centers and then cut out with spellbinders scallop circles... I then used my new "candi" and embossed them with daffodil embossing powder and attached with dimensionals... I added some seam binding ribbon to finish this beauty off... I hope you like what I have done with these colors today....
Happy Stamping!!!

From The Heart
I came home from work today to some "happy" mail. I got my order from Sparkle N Sprinkle and some awesome new rubber. This lily image is one of the beautiful flowers in this set and I am so glad it came today because I really wanted to play with my copic markers.. They have been severely neglected lately.... They definitely got some great use today and I have never been so happy with my coloring.. I guess when you take your time and go slow it turns out better... I colored the image and cut out with spellbinders labels 18 and then layered it onto a square... I added a sentiment, some ribbon and just a small amount of glitter to the flower centers... I hope you like my card today.
Happy Stamping!!!

Fold Over Bookmark
I AM UPDATING THIS SO EVERYONE KNOWS THAT THIS CAN INDEED BE USED AS A BOOKMARK.... I scored the back flap every 1/4" so that it will fit in any thickness of book. The decorated front part with be outside the book and displayed for all to see. It is too pretty (IMHO) to tuck away inside a book anyway... So the flower isn't going to affect using this particular bookmark in any way... :)
This is the first time I have made one of these bookmarks but I have to tell you I absolutely love how this turned out... the ribbon worked nicely for me, the flower turned out great and I absolutely love this DSP. I hope you like what I have done too...
Last Chance....

This is my final submission for the DT I am trying to get on. I was picked as a semi-finalist and had to create one last project for the final decision. I am hoping this was enough to get me all the way... I think there are some pretty clever ideas put to use on this card. The first thing I did was combine 2 background techniques together for a fun new look. I started with the shaving cream technique and on top of that I added the rolled marble technique but instead of using a colored ink I used the versamark re-inker so that I could emboss it and make it shiny. I took equal parts of silver embossing powder and silver glitter and mixed it to pour onto the wet versamark. I also chose to add sparkle to my main image to look like a wrapped hershey kiss. I printed the digi image and cut it out. I pressed it onto my versamark pad and then sprinkled it with the same mixture as my background. I then used my tiny alphabet set to stamp the words hugs and kisses onto tissue paper and cut to look like the flags on a hershey kiss. I personally thought this was a pretty clever idea... My sentiment was created using Photo Shop and then printed on Neenah Solar White cardstock and cut using spellbinders label 10 die. I really hope you can see all of the details and thought that went into this card. I had fun making it and I absolutely love this digital image.
Digi image, glitter and embossing powder are all from Sparkle N Sprinkle. Visit their store for more awesome products and digital images here. Thank you for taking the time to stop by... Please let me know what you think.

Butterflies Of Inspiration
I made this card for the inspiration challenge over at splitcoast. I love butterflies and when I was browsing the website, I came upon butterflies galore. I really couldn't pick one image as an inspiration so I used multiple.... My card base is soft suede and then it's layered with DSP. I cut out the ovals with my spellbinders nestabilities and attached to my DSP. I stamped my image, added my ribbon and then the butterflies. I used 2-way glue on my butterflies and added dazzling diamonds. The DSP has a hint of glitter and embossing so the butterflies coordinate really well with this DSP. I hope you like what I have done with this challenge. Thank you so much for stopping by. I would love to know what you think...
Happy Stamping!!!
Sparkling Silhouettes
Bright and Cheery colors is the theme for today... I bought this DSP just last week because I loved the colors so when I saw the challenge today, I immediately went for this DSP pack. This is a simple layered card. I stamped the image using the masking technique onto my whisper white cardstock and layered onto the rest of my card... I then added dabs of glue to the parts of the flowers that I wanted to sparkle. I added dazzling diamonds... Some of my favorite.... I added a simple ruffled ribbon and my sentiment... Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by...

Sunflowers A Plenty
So I NEVER use yellow and I find it a bear to work with but today I knew I HAD to play with these sunflower dies because they are on borrow and I LOVE sunflowers... Of course what color are they? Yup... Yellow!!! I was thumbing through some of my DSP and found this awesome sunflower paper. At first I thought it would be too much and overpowering to my card but I think it ended up being just the perfect touch. I think I may have a new found "like" for yellow... :)
I started by cutting out my sunflowers and sponging them with More Mustard ink before I removed them from the die cut. I did the same with the leaves and sponged Old Olive on them. I then used my flower making kit to "curl" the sunflower leaves and give them more dimension. I put the flower together and built the rest of my card. This layout is for the Splitcoast sketch challenge. Great sketch to work with and I love how this card turned out... Thank you so much for stopping by. I would love to know what you think...

"Sporty" CAS Challenge
The challenge is to pick your favorite team's colors and create a card using those colors. The card doesn't have to contain anything to do with sports except for the colors. I had a couple ideas so I made a couple cards for this challenge... The first one if a combination of my kid's school colors since they are in 3 different school... I used the ribbon below the scallop to make it look like a winners ribbon... I did choose to go with the sport theme all around with this one and I like how it turned out given I am really not that good with CAS cards.. My next card is in honor of my home state and the good ole Ohio State Buckeyes... Scarlet and Gray... I wish my butterfly trails were a little bit skinnier but they didn't turn out that way. I could have used a marker and done them gray, but I wanted them a little shinier like their jerseys so I embossed them with silver and unfortunately the thickness of the lines is a result of the versamarker... The butterflies were made using the butterfly embosslit from Stampin Up!... My last card is probably the most important card with the most important colors out there... There really isn't anything to explain about this card. It was very simple to put together and I only have three words to say about this card: DALLAS COWBOYS BABY!!!!!!
Thanks for taking the time to look at my CAS cards today.. I hope you enjoy what I have done for you.

Mosaic Blue Butterflies
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS CARD!!!! There isn't anything about this card I would change... I picked out this DSP and the colors just go so well together... I chose to do the glitter mosaic technique with these colors and it looks awesome... The glitter is Aqua Marine Glitter from Sparkle N Sprinkle. This color is a beautiful mix of blue/green. The butterflies are coated with Green Iris glitter also from Sparkle N Sprinkle.. It's no secret that green is my favorite color so I am super pleased with this card... I hope you enjoy and will give this technique a try...
Happy stamping!!!
Glitter Mosaic
I was playing around in my stamp room this weekend and made a couple cards just because. This is one in particular that I did. I love this glitter technique and I think it looks so cool... Super simple to create but such a detailed look... Just love it...

This is my card for the FS challenge. I have had laptop issues so wasn't able to upload before now.. I chose to case this lovely card: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...;ppuser=120847
I changed the image, the sentiment and the green. I used Lucky Limeade. I didn't want to change much on this card because I just thought it was perfect the way it was...
Leif Inspiration
My laptop has had an issue the last few days so I wasn't able to upload this on time but I did play and love this challenge.. I chose this card: http://www.leifshop.com/collections/...h-in-raspberry. I loved the look of the two pinks on the white. The image is stamped with stazon on acetate and then I applied glitter glue to the underside of the image and applied glitter. You have to let this dry for a while but it looks great when it's done. Adhere with the glitter side down. I hope you like

Just Because I Wanted To
I got a couple new items from Sparkle N Sprinkle and this cupcake image was one of them. This is a digi image that I added flock to. It took quite a bit of time to get the flocking on but it turned out pretty cute in the end so the effort was definitely rewarded. I also flocked my brads for the centers of my flowers and I think they turned out amazing. They look as if the centers of the flowers are the pollen parts since they are fuzzy looking... I absolutely love these brads and plan to get more flocking and glitter flock to create more of these... I hope you will try too.. Here is a close up of the brads that I flocked so you have a better idea of what they look like.. Aren't they cute?

Loves Rubber Stamps!!!
I don't really know how I feel about this card... I love the image and I love the glittered areas, but the colors were so hard to work with. This card is for this week's Loves Rubber Stamps challenge and the colors were turquoise, black and yellow. Great job with these colors... You have me stumped on these... None-the-less, here is my card and I hope you enjoy it. The image is a Digi image from Sparkle N Sprinkle

Hugs & Kisses
Awesome sketch over at splitcoast this week... This was a pretty simple card but it took a lot of time to put together. The sentiment "star" took quite a bit of time to cut out. We were told we could change the shape, but I thought that was what made it a challenge so I kept it. I hope you like what I did with the sketch this week...
Happy Stamping!!!
Feeling Blue?
Today is a much better day than yesterday and so I can say that I am no longer feeling blue, but since the color challenge today was monochromatic blues... I guess I am a little blue today... There really are no details for this card... It was super simple and I did choose to add the "dessert" option of adding a swirl somewhere on my card... Thanks so much for stopping by today...
Happy Stamping!!!
Featured Stamper
I'd like to tell you why this is late, but I will just leave it as life happens when we least expect it.... So I made this card Sunday for the featured stamper challenge. When I saw this card...I knew I wanted to CASE it. I love the flowers and I have been playing around with a lot of old sets and when I skimmed past Simple Sketches I knew it was perfect.
Here is another view so you can really see the embossing details on this card.. It is gorgeous IRL. I changed the colors, the image, the border, and the sentiment... I hope you enjoy this card even though it's a little late.... fashionably late right?

Blue Kisses
I just received this new Digi image Hugs and Kisses from Sparkle N Sprinkle and had to play with it... I chose the blue color to match the color of the blue on the Hershey kiss tabs... So this was a lengthy card to make but I am pretty happy with how it turned out. This card was made for 2 challenges today. The WT challenge on Splitcoast: Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue and also for the Loves Rubber Stamps challenge: Bingo... I chose the far right column which is to use buttons or brads, embossing and die cuts or punches.... Check!!!! I am posting a few photos on here so you can really see the details in this card. The first is the background. I used the rolled marble technique and in addition to using 2 colors of reinker, I also used the versamark re-inker. I did the color reinkers first and then the versamark and added a combination of silver embossing powder and silver glitter to create my background. I wasn't sure if this was going to work, but it did and it's awesome... Then I stamped my chocolate chip background randomly with the versamark and used the same silver mixture.
Then the tricky part was adding the glittered details to a digi image since it's printed from the computer and you really can't print with versamark... So I used my versamarker and colored the image and added the silver mixture to the image. I had to do this several times to get an even coating to the image. (Who says you can't emboss or glitter digi images?) Anyway, I really hope you enjoy my card today. I am pretty pleased with this myself...
And I can't forget the best part of this card... In my opinion anyway... I stamped the words hugs and kisses with my alphabet set onto tissue paper to create my hershey kiss flags. I think they look just like the real thing... Stay tuned for my next project using this same Digi image... I love it!!!

For A Dear Friend
This is my card for today's sketch challenge... Such a wonderful sketch which allows for a larger die cut center... This card is very difficult to photograph because I used a bit of clear embossing powder but I have included a few extra photos on here so that you can really see the embossing details on this card. I embossed all three flower images inside my circle, the word friend in the ovals and all 3 butterflies... This was a pretty simple card to put together but it was pretty time consuming due to all of the embossing that I did... I also used my stampin write markers to make the 4 images on my candle. I stamped on tissue paper and adhered to candle. I added some glitter detail to the tiny flowers on the candle and attached them with cute pink brads. (I toyed with glittering the brads too but I left them alone... THIS TIME!!!!) The finish touch to the candle is my double ribbon in pink and yellow that I also slightly melted to give it the curled look... (Be careful not to burn or melt your ribbon as organdy is very delicate and doesn't take long to heat) I hope you enjoyed what I have done here...

Poor forgotten Challenge card
I forgot that I made this card for the DTGD challenges... It fell behind my craft table and I didn't see it until just a minute ago when I went in there looking for something... Poor neglected card... Well it's on here now and it was such a fun one to put together... My husband talked me into getting the fleur de lis spellbinder die and I had no idea what I was going to do with it... Well this is what came from it... I am super excited and I think it turned out great... I just can't believe I dropped it and forgot about it....

The last of my DTGD Challenge Cards
This first card is pretty simple and self explanatory... I cuttlebugged the background and added a few buttons. My image was stamped and cut out using spellbinders circle dies and adhered with dimensionals. The ribbon is a very old river rock ribbon that Stampin Up used to carry.Another simple on here for you to view... I wanted the hexagons to be center stage so I stamped my image and cut out with oval punches, I beaded the corsage pin and put through the centers of a couple primas and tied a ribbon with a slightly fancier bow. Simple right? And my favorite card of the week... I LOVE how this card turned out... From start to finish it just fell in line so nicely. I used a gorgeous floral DSP that I have and matted it with Melon Mambo cardstock. I used a small piece of Pretty in Pink that I ran through my cuttlebug and I adhered some flower brads that I added some gorgeous Pink Glitter too... (The glitter was mixed with embossing powder to ensure sticking to the brad) I tied a soft pink ribbon across the bottom and I am super happy... I hope you have enjoyed my cards this week... There were 38 challenges and there was just no way I was going to get all of them finished with everything else I have on my plate right now so I am very happy with the 15 I did finish!!!
Thanks for stopping by

DTGD Challenges 9-12
I truly apologize for posting all of these cards in 1 blog post but it is really late at night and I am exhausted but I wanted to get these posted before I forgot... This card is extremely simple to create and uses the cracked glass technique. I then layered my image onto a cuttlebug background added the lace to look almose like a window and my sentiment... The inspiration piece this came from had a small pop of purple so that got added as well. This next card couldn't possibly have any more bling on it if it tried... I used the glitter lace technique to create my background and then added some flowers in different shades of pink to match. I added some rhinestones and my silver embossed sentiment... This card is stunning and shiny IRL. This next card is a simple one too... Boy has it been hot out and these are some "HOT" colors. I am not a fan or orange but these work together beautifully. I had this DSP sitting around in my craft room for some time and was finally give a reason to dust it off and cut it... Give it a go... You will like it too. Now for my favorite card from today... This cute little cupcake is a card... It took some time to cut out, but the Hello Kitty cricut cartridge lets you cut all of the images out as cards... HOW AWESOME!!! It is pretty time consuming to cut out all of the coordinating parts but it was so worth it.. This is a little girls dream... Ok well for my 6 year old twins it was... Their birthday isn't until March and they have both requested a card like this for their birthday.... And they both told me it had to be just as shiny... How cute!!!

DTGD Challenge #8
This is my 8th DTGD challenge card...I am also uploading this card for the Loves Rubber Stamps Challenge. I absolutely love making paper flowers and I love coming up with ways to display them... They are a little trickier to send in the mail, but they are so worth it and the person receiving the card will light up with happiness and it will be worth the efforts... I used 4 different sizes of the grand peony die to create this flower and I cut out 3 of each size... I used a flower tool kit to give the paper flower like details. I then glued the leaves together on one of the smallest flowers to create the center bud. I tied my ribbon behind my flower and added my sentiment.. Easy peasy card except for the time to create the flower... I hope you like my card today... Please let me know what you think...

DTGD Challenge #7
This is my 7th DTGD challenge card... I was cleaning my stamp room yesterday and came across old polyshrink paper... I am so excited that I pulled it out for this challenge... I love making my own charms... I stamped my grapes with purple stazon and then masked it so I could stamp my leaves and then shrank my image. I then re-stamped the image first with the grapes and added a mixture of glitter and clear embossing powder. I then masked the image again and repeated with green glitter and embossing powder for the leaves. I layered this image added a ribbon and tied my charm on for a little more added detail. If you haven't pulled out your shrinky dink in a while give it a try... Made me feel like a kid again. It was fun!!! Thanks for stopping by...

DTGD Challenge #6
This is my 6th card for the DTGD challenges... This was truly a challenge for me but I managed and I am very happy with the turnout... I am also using this card for the Loves Rubber Stamps Challenge.. There really isn't much to tell you about this card.. I know it is very difficult to see from the photo, but I stamped my image and sentiment with Lucky Limeade ink and the used the stamp a ma jig to line up both images again and stamped them with versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder. The card has so much more dimension by just adding that embossing powder... I love how this card turned out... Thank you so much for stopping by...

Poor Missed DTGD Challenge #4
This is my 4th DTGD challenge card.. I am still quite a bit behind but I am working my butt off... :) This card was really fun to make... I made my flowers with the bity blossoms die from spellbinders and I added glue gloss and glitter. I also used the new embosslit from stampin up and I covered them with glitter as well... My ribbon was dyes using re inkers and water... I love seam binding ribbon... This was a pretty simple card to put together but it sparkles like nothing else... LOVE SPARKLES!!!! DTGD Challenge #5
This is my 5th card for the DTGD challenges... I recently purchased the scented embossing powder from Stampin Up so I knew I had to use it on this card.. I truly wish you could smell it... It is amazing..I used the Hello Kitty cricut cartridge to cut out my cherries and then I added versamark and cherry scented embossing powder... They smell amazing... I layered the cherries on scalloped circles that were die cut from spellbinders. The rest of the card is very simple... I think this is an adorable summer card and the smell is just wonderful... DTGD Challenge #3
This is my card for the DTGD challenge to do a masculine card... This challenge for me will definitely be one of the hardest... I have an extremely difficult time creating masculine cards and they always seem to end up a little girly anyway... I really tried to keep this one as masculine as possible... No ribbons or bows, no flowers or glitters, no buttons or rhinestones... Just good ole hardware and twill... I don't really know how I feel about this card as of yet but to try and make another one would probably be the death of me.. When I said I had a hard time making masculine cards, I was completely serious... I own mostly flower and girly stamp sets... I rarely make cards for men and when I do they are usually pretty boring and not worth sharing... So this is my attempt at this challenge anyway and I hope you guys like it...

DTGD Challenge #2
This is my card for the monochromatic DTGD challenge... We had to make a monochromatic card with 1 small color pop in addition to our main color... I chose green since it's my favorite color and there are so many wonderful shades and then I chose to "pop" with a small bit of yellow. The lace looking background is done with a piece of polyester lace and then the lace is removed so there is no actual lace on this card, it just looks like lace and is such a beautiful technique... The rest of this card is pretty simple and was easy to put together but I feel that the look of the glitter lace just makes this card pop even with a simple design...

DTGD Challenge #1
My first card for the DTGD challenges... I am so far behind because I had company all week that just left so I am gonna get as many done as I can and with a little luck I will finish all of them... For this card I used the Spellbinders Bity Blossoms Die and added glue gloss and glitter to give them dimension and added a pearl to the centers... I also tweaked the negative cuttlebug technique to use glitter... So fun and such a gorgeous look... I hope you like my card today.. Please let me know what you think.
